Great Location

Had to write a little on this great location we have just come across.
Absolutely stunning and ...they cater for weddings!!
Gossel Ridding is licensed for civil and partnership ceremonies.
If you are looking for an intimate and contemporary venue to have a small celebration with close friends..this would be perfect.

Set overlooking Lake Windermere with the most spectacular private view, the Gossel Ridding estate offers the perfect setting for your country house wedding.

"Simple or lavish, we understand that your special day is unique to you.
Our expert team is on hand to guide you every step of the way in creating your perfect day".

They can provide you with everything you need from Hot air ballooning, to in-house spa treatments and massage, yoga, a personal chef and even a pianist. Sounds amazing!

HELIOTROPE ROOM

Panelled and peaceful. This very private room has glorious views to the lake and the mountains beyond. Raw silk lines the walls. The original fireplace and pretty floral bench seats are an Arts and Craft classic. Super king bed".

The decor looks beautiful serene and simple with elegant details and fine finishes to make your stay feel totally special.

"At Gossel Ridding contemporary design meets Arts and Crafts elegance. Set in 8 acres of grounds and refurbished to the highest standard, this beautiful home offers unrivalled peace and privacy whilst being only minutes from the amenities of Bowness-on-Windermere.

Whether covered in snow, daffodils or sunshine Gossel Ridding's mixture of terraces, lawns, natural woodland and meadows are the perfect place to relax, play or party".

THE KITCHEN

"A huge space, light and airy and fully equipped to the highest standard. For less formal eating it seats 14 around the original cooks' tables in front of the open log fire. The newly laid Lakeland slate floor has under-floor heating to warm your toes on a winter's morning. "We can arrange for a chef to cook some or all of your meals, for special occasions or for your entire stay".

THE CINEMA ROOM

"A great place to chill out in front of a log fire. The enormous low level day bed is the perfect place to snooze, watch big screen TV or a movie from the extensive DVD library. Blackout blinds, slate, rustic wood and charcoal linen create a sensual mix in this comfortable room."
