Scrummy!

We were very excited here at Hummingbird to discover that it's National Cupcake Week! We absolutely love cupcakes (in fact, we just love cake) so we think dedicating a whole week to them is a very good plan.

British Baker magazine (the creators of National Cupcake Week) have named Dave Bennett of the Sunshine Bakery in Leeds as the Cupcake Champion of the year. Dave won by creating a delicious sounding banana & mango cupcake. The six runners up have been each awarded a day for their cupcake. We particularly like the sound of Monday's Chocolate Ginger vegan cupcake!

We also love the idea of cupcake wedding cakes. Our friend Anna Tyler creates truly beautiful miniature cakes & cupcakes which we think are perfect for weddings.

Our cupcake notelets are available to buy online through our website.
You can follow @CupcakeWeek on twitter for more information about National Cupcake Week.
Anna Tyler can be contacted through her website.
