Our Nicole Farhi Christmas Cards x

We can finally show you the beautiful Christmas Cards we have produced for NICOLE FARHI
Born from a collaboration with artist Su Blackwell, illustrated by Natalie Ferstendik. The card represent s the story of The Lady & The Hare which you can read more about in our previous blog posting HERE
We were asked to interpret the artwork with our laser-cut style. The results are beautiful, printed in a soft grey ink to represent a pencil illustration, the trees are cut out to cast subtle woodland shadows.

You can catch Su Blackwells exhibition at LONG & RYE Gallery in London

“We approached The Hummingbird Card Company with the brief of creating our Christmas cards - wishing to spread a little winter magic - but also hoping to re-create the enchantment of our flagship store’s wintery window display, inspired by the story ‘When Lady Hare met Su Blackwell’, written in celebration of the fabulous collaboration between Nicole Farhi and Su Blackwell.

They certainly rose to the challenge, embracing the true essence of the delicate form and ethereal beauty of our very own winter fairytale as they created our cards, interpreting the delicate artwork beautifully through intricate laser cutting. The result – another spellbinding page in the story!”

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

"Oh dear, white is really not my colour!"

Like most of the rest of the British Isles, we’ve seen an awful lot of snow fall outside our studio over the past few days. Even though it makes life a little more difficult we can’t help but think that the landscape it creates is incredibly beautiful!

We thought we'd share with you some photographs we took yesterday lunchtime.

Sally-Ann's beautiful puppy:

"Hey, you guys, stop doing boring work & come play with me!"

We hope you're all keeping safe & cosy in this very wintery weather!
